David and the Massage at Work team have just returned from touring with a major production across the UK, and through Scandinavia , returning just in time for Christmas lunch ! As well as treating the star performer, it was a very interesting exercise in treating the different injuries and conditions of everyone on tour from the bus drivers, riggers and lighting engineers , through to the make up artist and tour managers. Each neck , shoulders and back has a different story to tell , and those stories became real mysteries as the technicians began slipping on the Nordic ice ! This is where portable massage comes into its own , in equal measures for curative and preventative purposes, and often just an MOT check up.

Massage at Work are already in London and we are pushing to become the first choice for London businesses and professionals. So we thought, who could we recruit to find out what The City wants? We searched high and low for the best candidates and we want you. Shiatsu, Chair Massage, Sports Massage, Stress Management are all treatments and services we offer and they are available to you without ever leaving your office. We would like you to tell us what services or benefits would encourage you to reap the rewards of massage at work? Whether its costs related, out of hours services, more treatment choices or something less obvious, if you tell us we will listen and act. If you are blissfully happy then you can tell us the good points too.

Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” answered a survey in 2003’
They found that massage is an employee benefit at 90 percent of the “best” companies, compared to 66 percent of those not on the “best” list.
Working Mother magazine, in its 18th annual survey of the “100 Best
Companies for Working Mothers,” reported that 77 percent of the “best” companies offer therapeutic massages, versus only 11 percent nationwide.
Obviously these survey’s were conducted to prove that complementary and alternative therapies, such as massage, might help reduce health costs and increase company profits. Ok so it may not prove that, but it certainly suggests that successful companies believe there is a benefit and look after their prized workforce.
